Netherlands World Cup Squad
Alongside the injured midfielder Van der Vaart, Tonny Vilhena, Jean-Paul Boetius, Patrick van Aanholt, goalkeeper backup Jeroen Zoet, Quincy Promes and Karim Rekik missed the Netherlands final roster selection ahead of the World Cup. Coach Louis van Gaal sprung no surprises in his selection with all major names like Arjen Robben, Wesley Sneijder, Robin van Persie, Nigel de Jong and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar made up the 23-strong squad
