Spain Provisional Squad
A few surprises were revealed when the Spain's 30-man Provisional Squad was announced by coach Vicente del Bosque. Isco, Arbeloa and Soldado were the big names left out while uncapped Carvajal and Iturraspe were included along with out-of-form striker Torres
De Gea took the place of injured Valdes, Diego Costa was called up to bulk up the goal scoring department already filled with Villa, Pedro and Llorente, Mata and Cajorla were among those retained. The team includes seven players from Barcelona FC
Other exclusions were Saurez, Martinez, Herrera and Benat
FIFA has a deadline until June 2 by which all teams need to lodge their 23-member World Cup squads
