Korea World Cup Squad Announced
South Korea will field one of the youngest squads at Brazil 2014. Head Coach Hong Myung-bo announced a 23-man final roster with an average age of 25, retaining the crux of the Olympic team which won a bronze medal at London, under his reign as under-23 coach
Star player Park Chu-young, amid concerns about his lack of game time after a move to Arsenal, made it along with four more 2010 veterans, Ki Sung-yeung, Kim Bo-kyong, Jung Sung-ryung and Lee Chung-yong
Mainz left-back Park Joo-hoo failed to recover in time and will miss the tourney. The only other notable exlusion is the K-League player Lee Myung-joo, who had an excellent domestic season. Hong kept his promise that there would not be any surprises in the team selection
The team will train at Paju, before playing a home friendly and leave for their world cup base, Miami
