I have always been a Football fan... By always, I mean ever since that eventful world cup where Roberto Baggio missed his Penalty... Those were pre-internet, pre-cable days and the newspapers were my only source, then came Television Coverage and then Internet and the world is open to me, so is football...

The idea from this blog originated from the fact that I've been updating my tidbits regarding the teams, players who are about to be or not to be part of this edition and as part of that I had to follow a huge database of websites, blogs or forums to keep me sharp... I thought if I'd made a log of the same data in an organized way, it would benefit at least some people like me... and it'd drive me to stay informed of the tidings too...

I plan to cover the world cup, teams, groups, players and eventually the matches and who knows, maybe even the the aftermath... but first let me take it one step at a time...
