Russia World Cup Squad
The provisional squad surprise, the only player based outside Russia in the initial 30, Pavel Pogrebnyak has been dropped out of the final roster. Coach Fabio Capello opted for completely domestic based 23-man squad for the World Cup. The Reading striker has never played under Capello
Defenders Alexander Anyukov and Alexey Berezutskiy, midfielders Vladimir Bystrov, Yury Gazinskiy and Pavel Mogilevets and forward Artem Dzyuba were the other players to have been left out of the squad but Mogilevets will be in Brazil as a standby
