Defender Jeffrey Schlupp and Midfielder David Accam missed out on the final World Cup squad announced by coach Kwesi Appiah for Ghana. Jerry Akaminko, who suffered an ankle fracture in the friendly against Netherlands, is the only other exclusion from the original provisional squad
Asamoah Gyan and Sulley Muntari will play their third successive World Cup while Michael Essien, who missed the 2010 edition through injury, is back after playing the 2006 tourney. Kwadwo Asamoah, Andre Ayew, Badu are expected to contribute to the team through their experience
