Colombia World Cup Squad

The speculation regarding Monaco and Colombia star striker Radamel Falcao's participation in the World Cup ended when he was left out of the national squad for the World Cup. He was considered to be a touch and go scenario but Falcao lost the race against time to be fit for the tourney
Coach Jose Pekerman dropped the striker along with Edwin Valencia, who also failed to recover from a persistent muscle injury. Defender Luis Ameranto and forward Luis Fernando Muriel are the others who lost their place while Aquivaldo Mosquera, Elkin Soto, Macnelly Torres already lost their place along with Valencia in an earlier purge
Colombia now needs to depend much on James Rodriguez, Jackson Martinez and Teofilo Gutierrez to take on the mantle
