Injury Update - Nigeria's Echiejile Ruled Out

Nigeria's defender Elderson Uwa Echiejile has been ruled out of the World Cup after suffering an injury during the warm up match against Greece last Tuesday. He limped out of the game before the half time with a muscle tear and is expected to be out of contention for at most three weeks and coach Stephen Keshi has announced on Saturday

Echiejile will be replaced by winger midfielder Ejike Uzoenyi, who plays for Enugu Rangers, in the World Cup squad
