Germany World Cup Squad

Germany's coach managed to trim his talented squad to the requisite 23 members while leaving room only to just one pure striker, the 35 year old veteran striker Miroslav Klose. This would mean that Klose has a very good chance of overtaking Ronaldo as the top scorer in all the World Cups if things go his way in the finals. He would be assisted by another veteran Lukas Podolski and 2010 Golden Boot winner Thomas Muller while the stocky striker Kevin Volland missed the bus
Defenders Mustafi, Schmelzer also missed the cut while Lars Bender was already ruled out due to injury. Jansen, Goretzka, Hahn and Meyer were already dropped earlier. Kramer who replaced Hahn was included in the final roster
Also, all the ailing regulars such as Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Neuer and Lahm made the squad
