Long time regular and all-time leading United States goalscorer Landon Donovan is not going to Brazil as part of the 23-man World Cup roster released by manager Jurgen Kilnsmann on Thursday. Donovan featured in three editions and scored five World Cup goals. He along with Terrence Boyd, Joe Corona, Maurice Edu, Michael Parkhurst, Brad Evans and Clarence Goodson from the original 30-man provisional squad missed the selection
USA are placed in a very tough group which includes Germany and Portugal and are expected to be eliminated at the first stage barring an upset
