Injury Update - Thiago Alcantaro Out

Bayern Munich Midfielder and Spain World Cup prospect, Thiago Alcantara has been ruled out for 8-11 weeks after tearing his right knee ligaments again just after coming back from the same injury. FC Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge announced the news today, which effectively rules him out of the World Cup

He was included in the provisional 30-man squad by coach Vicente del Bosque and he's hopeful of getting into the final roster. Alacantara also missed the Euro 2012 and London Olympics through injury
