Injury Update - Niko Kranjcar's heartbreak

A ruptured hamstring during the biggest game of his career resulted in Croatian playmaker Niko Kranjcar missing the biggest tourney of his life. He was substituted in the 29th minute of the Queen Park Rangers Championship's playoff win over Derby County at Wembley last Sunday. The news was announced by Croatian Football Federation on twitter

Kranjcar feared any injury in the playoff game would result in messing up with his World Cup plans. His recovery would take around a month according to the medical team. This is the third casualty in the 30-man Croatian squad after defender Ivan Strinic and midfielder Ivo Ilicevic were already ruled out last week
